How to Convert Kenmore Super High to Regular Snap-on Feet

Procedure for proper conversion of "old style" pressure foot lock to the "new style" snap-on feet. Note you will still be able to use your old style feet, they will be secured by the "conversion screw".

"very easy to do!"

Before Starting: unplug machine, remove needle, read all directions.

Lets get started:

(1.) Remove old style: remove small screw #12 first.

(2.) Remove #14 with a 6mm socket, hold #11 with a flat screwdriver.

(3.) CONVERSION SCREW...special note this is a fine thread screw - rated at 32 thread count per inch, caution must be taken to NOT cross thread when first starting. The screw will go in tight for the first time. Use 9/64 allen wrench. Apply a drop of oil on the screw. Once the screw is in for the first time it will be much easier thereafter, however in most cases it can stay in.

(4.) Your machine is now ready to accept the "Kenmore Super High Conversion Kit / Type "A". Which will enable you to use a wide variety of new snap-on feet Type "A" (the most common in the market place). It will also enable you to use the new "Kenmore Super High Even Feed Walking foot".

If you are not comfortable performing this procedure, please take your parts and machine to your nearest certified sewing machine technician familiar with your model.

Instructions will be provided with the item when it is shipped to you.
